"The Concert," tells the story of Sara, an Iranian-American teenager who can't go to a concert while her older brother Amir can hang out with his friends. Amir begins to understand some of Sara's frustrations and is determined to help her go to the concert.
 

With the film's artistic style inspired by 80's anime such as Ranma 1/2 and Maison Ikkoku and some classic Disney films, the story is inspired by some of my experiences growing up as the daughter of Iranian immigrants since I never saw that culture in any of the animated shows or movies I watched growing up.
